Best players of South Korean KBL round 29

Experienced American Jameel Warney (203-C-1994) had a great game in the last round for Seoul SK Knights and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 29.
The 31-year old center had a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat LG Sakers (#1, 22-10) 89-76. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Knights maintains the 4th position in South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Seoul Knights will need more victories to improve their 19-13 record. Warney has many years of experience at Knights, through which he has constantly improved. Stony Brook University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Warney is league's best scorer averaging so far 24.2ppg. Warney is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 11.2rpg), assists (7th best: 4.7apg) and averages solid 51.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Shawn Long (208-F-1993, agency: Pensack Sports) of Busan KCC Egis. Long impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 33 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Egis lost that game 95-107 to slightly lower-ranked Suwon KT (#6, 17-16). KCC Egis managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 17-15 record is not bad and everything may still change. Long is a newcomer at KCC Egis and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.9ppg (#4). He also registered 12.9 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Turkish Kerem Kanter (208-F/C-1995) of Seoul Samsung Thunders (#10). Kanter got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . Despite Kanter's great performance the Samsung Thunders lost 74-75 to slightly higher-ranked Mobis Phoebus (#9, 11-21). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Seoul Thunders not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 21 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Kanter could try to bring Seoul Thunders' a little bit higher in the standings. Kanter has individually a great season in South Korea. After 31 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.8rpg (8th best).

10. Assem Marei (206-C-1992) of LG Sakers - 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists
